Chung-Fu Chang
Chung-Fu Chang was born in Taiwan, where he performed with the country’s internationally renowned Cloud Gate Dance Theatre and Kaohsiung Contemporary Dance Company. He has been commissioned by over 80 professional ballet and contemporary dance companies to choreograph and perform throughout the United States, Argentina, Australia, Canada, China, Cyprus, England, Greece, Hong Kong, Japan, Mexico, New Zealand, Singapore, and Taiwan.
Chung-Fu choreographed for Verb Ballets Ohio and NYC, and Ormao Dance Company, Ballet Nouveau (now Wonderbound), and Boulder Ballet, Colorado.
Chung-Fu, MFAfrom UC Irvine, is a Full Professor of Dance at Colorado State University Dance Department. He studied at the Boston Conservatory, Harvard University and held creative residencies at The Yard, the American Dance Festival, was a guest dancer a Jacob’s Pillow and received many awards including 2021 Legends of Dance from The Dance Archive, The University of Denver’s Carson Brierly Giffin Dance Library.
He directed the CSU Tour Dance Company that performed over 80 shows for the ADC School Out-Reach programs.
